Theorycrafting impeached by game design - past seasonal mods are key and they're not accessible

I feel the frustration level rising to almost Forsaken levels. Forsaken was the best expansion, but it had a fatal flaw. When it was addressed, it was already too late. The removal of fated engrams from Xur blocked many of us in a bad luck loop. We burned thru the whole Forsaken year without accessing new exotics, as they weren't dropping due to rngesus being not benevolent to us. Months of grinding and anger. Got Phoenix Protocol after 5 months of grinding, when fated engrams were enabled again. Shortly before being nerfed. And shortly before the disaster that was Shadowkeep at launch. Yes, I still believe that RNG has to be addressed when it comes to drops. And that drops must be guaranteed after say X failures. I see the very same thing now. The only thing that has build impact, aside from exotics, are mods. Seasonal mods, especially. Whet change to the gameplay can you expect from a "sidearm dexterity" mod or something that adds too less ? Seasonal mods are the thing. And if you missed them, bad for you! I just missed one. Didn't play a day, and it was gone! Next time it comes, probably a year or more. Almost same as with Forsaken exotics. What needs would one have for "Double Nightfall rewards" that just gives slightly more interesting armor ? It's still gonna sunset. And what needs do you have for prisms, if you don't masterwork ? I haven't fully masterworked an armor piece since Forsaken times. Think I've done it two or three times during the whole play since launch. Cause why would you need to masterwork, if you don't have the mods you need ? Gunsmith has two sell slots. One of them is with gun mods, which are like 20-30 and the stock has a fast rotation. The other one has ALL THE OTHER MODS, including the seasonal ones. Good 20-30 mods scattered among hundreds, having a dismal drop rate. Another "incentive" to play the game. And Bungie does what ? Out of all things, reworks ghosts. Sure, I wouldn't say it's not a nice addon. But there are missing things out there. Fix the seasonal mods drops. Make them drop from regular activities. Like "have a 10% chance per strike to get a seasonal mod you don't have". Have percentages increased as nightfall difficulty increases. What do you guys think ?
