What tech trends that are the worst?
Face swap and facial recognition.

I spent some time working under a company that developed weapons and tech to sell to militaries. I still can't decide which was worse. The idea that I could - in one way or another - be traced back to some new fangled Predator drone they sold, or how happy the company was about making it.
