450 lightweights pulses are the weakest weapons in destiny

Before someone is typing about the 4 bursts, that’s not what I’m talking about. 450 lightweight pulse rifles have the lowest damage in almost all pve activities while requiring perfect aim in pvp or 3 perfect bursts to get a kill. This archetypes has been completely overlooked throughout the entirety of d2. The exotics bad juju and outbreak as sub par at best as they can allow for an increase in damage, which is unfortunately quite situational. But it’s worse for the legendary versions. Chattering bone has an amazing perk pool but sees very little use in the overall landscape while infinite paths was literally unusable. I feel like 450s need the handcannon collapse treatment because there is no reason to have 2 different 450 pulse archetypes with one being less than useless. I have been using outbreak since its re release back into the game A LOT and I’ve had enough with this archetype being forgotten, it needs some changes especially in pvp because it can’t compete with it requiring perfect play against these easier options.

  • 450 pulses are weird. I have a nightshade that has a good roll. It does very well but sometimes just felt "off" about it compared to d1 450 pulses. In d1 landing a 3 burst with a hawksaw wasn't that hard. If they brought back hawksaw and didn't give it the d2 treatment that would be my main weapon for pvp. I have a couple reasons why d1 450s were better. -smooth handling. Some 450s had it better then others. Hawksaw was the king in terms of 450s and smoothness. People used blind perdition for high caliber rounds, but it just didn't feel is good or smooth, felt boxy. This was a complaint of mine with the b29 partyfavor in rise of iron, great archtype, bad weapon. -Range worked differently in d1 Damage falloff for pulse rifles in d1 was actally really good. The range stat wasn't that big of a factor until they adjusted it. In d2 450s struggle in the range department. -visual recoil. In d2 visual recoil is way more severe. The screen bounces alot more. D1 recoil on certain pulse rifles is basically d2 levels if you play on m&k. This is why HC in d1 are so much better then in d2. Felt smoother and more forgiving. -zoom magnification. In d2 zoom affects your range and damage drop-off alot more. That's why bungie gave summoner a big scope instead of a low zoom scope. In d1 zoom only affected how.good you could see the enemy and didn't hurt range as much. All in All the damage isn't the issue. It's d2 that is the issue.
