In the trailer for the Season of the Hunt it had guardians fighting on the Moon, Dreaming City and the Tangled Shore, are those destinations linked to their respective expansions or can even new light players go there?
My friend is planning on getting Destiny 2 & Beyond Light when his PS5 arrives, I'm trying to figure out how much he will be missing out on if he doesn't get the previous expansions? Most of the weapons have been sunset anyways!
£70 for all expansions & £10 for the current season is too much for a new player, I don't want him regret buying the old expansions if he doesn't have to to enjoy all of the newest content.
Do the old expansions just include their story quests and the raids now? If so then they should be less than £20 each!
I feel like this should all be on the Bungie website but I can't find it anywhere...
Are the Dungeons tied to the expansions or could we play those together without them?
Thanks to anyone who has any of these answers!

All destinations are open to all players regardless of expansions owned. It has been this way since Bungie released New Light over a year ago. And by destinations I mean the patrol spaces on all the planets. If you don't own Forsaken then you wouldn't have access to the Forsaken raids and certain Forsaken-locked exotics. Same for Shadowkeep. But in terms of being able to visit the planets either in free roam or as part of a Beyond Light quest (assuming they own BL), yes, any player would be able to do that without owning Forsaken or SK.
