Honestly, it’s not the matchmaking algorithm. Crucible is just kinda awful, tbh. We’re playing a Frankenstein of a pvp mode, maps designed for 4v4 primary weapon engagements are now chaotic 6v6 special weapon hell, where you are either laned by snipers or rushed by shotgun apes. And that’s not even mentioning the ability imbalance, which has been exacerbated to an absurd degree by stasis. Just give up on crucible, it’s never going to be a balanced, fun experience, so just take your mercy rules, get your pinnacles, and get the hell out and go do something else that’s more worth your time/less frustrating.

Crucible was never meant to be balanced post-sunset. Sunsetting doesn't disallow the use of older weapons that were ridiculous within Crucible and the only true test of the current season's state of balance lies in Trials and Iron Banner. However, if you're getting aped on right now, that's on you. There's never been a better counter to ape gameplay than Stasis and you have to get heavily outplayed or just be an absolutely awful player to get aped right now. Special weapons are also in the most balanced spot they've been in for a long, long time. Snipers aren't absolutely obscene like past seasons and shotguns get punished very heavily due to Stasis. You're in a mid-range engagement meta right now with 140 and 120 HCs and the pulse rifles.

Nah chief it’s actually just trash in general. Maybe I am bad, who gives a -blam!-? Why on earth would I care about being bad at something that doesn’t mean anything?
