They're removing them at the end of the season... They've said this multiple times. Read the TWABs yo.

Remove them now. They are blocking some player's progress. Take them out of rotation. this is just plain lazy on their part.

It's on random, they aren't technically controlling it. Stop your entitlement and wait the season out.. stock up on the resources that are still available.
