There is reportedly a new Knights of the Old Republic game in the works at Lucasfilms Games. We don’t know much about it, such as whether it’ll be a remake of the first game, a full blown third game or even a spinoff. The only thing we do know is that it’s coming and it won’t be made by EA. I’m anticipated this ever since the announced confidence of the Star Wars game developers and I’m equally as excited as I am worried. I’m excited as I loved the first 2 games greatly. They’re probably the best Star Wars games out there and a new game makes me wonder if the KOTOR storyline will return to canon after the reckoning of Disney. I’m worried because we still don’t know how it’ll turn out. Recent RPGs haven’t been all that great because most of them think that giving a player to choose an item with a higher number is all the depth they need. For all we know, it could be a remake that completely alters the story for the worse and makes the progression a tedious chore. All we can do now is hope that it’ll be in good hands and that it’ll turn out as a game both old fans of KOTOR and new players can enjoy. [spoiler]Fades Away[/spoiler]
