Play to pay for season pass content.

What if Bungie introduced a way for players to use bright dust to pay for at least a couple weeks of season pass content. I know some of you might think it’s a stupid idea at first but hear me out. There are other games out there that let you use in game currency to pay for membership rather than real world money. Normally it involves the player saving up a massive amount of in game money and then using it rather than real money to purchase membership that normally last for a week or 2. The numbers I’m going to use in this post are being used as an example and are not the suggested numbers that Bungie should use should they implement something like this. 1,000 silver gets you a season pass that’s good for 3 months. 1 month would be equal to 333 silver. 2 weeks would be about 167 silver given 4 weeks in a month. 167 silver is what it would cost to get 2 weeks of season pass content. But because we’re going to be paying in bright dust instead we need a way to convert it. Lets say 10,000 bright dust is equal to 100 silver. That means you would need 100,000 bright dust to get a full season pass or at the minimum 16,700 bright dust to enjoy 2 weeks of season pass content. That’s a lot of crucible, gambit and vanguard bounties to do at 10 bright dust per bounty you would be looking at doing 1,670 bounties just to earn enough to get 2 weeks of season pass content. Because of this players would rarely get that much over a short period of time. It would take most players weeks to save up to that amount and if they buy anything with it in the store such as emotes, ghost shells, ect it will take even longer. Plus some players may want to use their bright dust on some store items as well as use it to get some access to season pass content. Bungie could sell bright dust to players at 100,000 for 1,000 silver, 50,000 for 500 silver or 25,000 for 250 silver. Which equals $10.00 for 100,000 bright dust, $5.00 for 50,000 bright dust and $2.50 for 25,000 bright dust. That way if players are short on bright dust they can buy some and use it to purchase a minimum of 2 weeks of season pass content and some other stuff on the store. Keep in mind that 16,700 bright dust would be needed for 2 weeks of season pass content. 16,700 is equal to $1.67 and 4 weeks or 33,400 bright dust is equal to $3.33 which is what one month would normally be worth anyways. I feel it’s a great way for Bungie to potentially earn a profit as well as provide players with another way of gaining access to season pass content especially for those who maybe tight on money or may not be able to pay for a season pass for various different reasons. It’s either you pay to get quick and easy access or you work hard and save up and get access for a limited time. What do you guys think of this idea?
