It took me a while to notice, as we are at week 9 already and my challenges completed sits around 55-60, i will never get them all done.
Mayhem, may never return before the season is up
The nightfall being proving grounds, may not return before the season is up (not doing grandmaster)
My valor ranks that i went all the way to reset for, will not be counted and the difficulty to return to that level is painful.
Gambit is just hell on earth, while ranks doesnt count sub ranks unlike the crucible skin for the grenade launcher. 3 challenges/quests say ranks, 1 means sub ranks and normal, the rest mean both
etc,etc,etc....
So im back to trying to get the title for the season and ill skip out on that big pile of bright dust, it isnt worth the headache

I’m just bored in general with the game. It’s not that the challenges are too hard, it’s just tedious and unrewarding. XP isn’t incentive. That’s standard, where’s the loot?

Edited by ReavingReaper: 4/9/2021 5:03:35 AMWell this sent my notifications through the roof first, @bore didnt know there was an announced rotation for mayhem didnt know there was an announced rotation for the strikes Valor is annoying due to the fact that even though i reset, i have to do it all again, and playing iron banner, (hopefully double rep) may sound nice, but i have to win those 5 matches to get enough rep to level, not to mention this challenge might have an extension and any I overdo, means I have to do it again, they extended the champion stagger one, (30 staggers to 50) and i dont think it was retoractive and the amount of headache dealing with gambit and trying to level it is not worth the bright dust at the end @super shadow, 100% agree, i like being the overpowered fool or strikes down with code of the missle into hordes of foes just to be blown to smithereens by exploding foes, thats fun to me, not pvp and not gambit @illuminary I personally don't pay attention to leaks unless it interests me like thorn coming back or hawkmoon, etc, but yeah, not playing showdown at all, @wild poner actually got that one done, really should have worded that one better, i meant for everyone else, which would seem i was wrong in either case @ mrwayne yeah, bright dust only drops in small chunks from a few challenges with unknown amounts, so the higher difficulty ones might not give anything at all @ dragonknight pretty much the same, i dont want to give myself a headache while im already sick irl, challenges should be simple and fun, not brain numbing and forcing you down paths you dont want to do @cheese foreva agreed, screw crucible, either i fight laggy people, cheaters, or just terrible times with spawn camping death sentences that never end @karma you are a braver soul then i, i wish you the best on completing the tasks at hand @wintermute i honestly forgot that bounties gave dust until i had to get rep for crucible to get that extra momentum for the grenade launcher skin, i bought so many things from the store with dust im surprised at how much i have now

Where’s the option for “not going out of my way to complete challenges because some challenges are not worth the effort”. I’m not going to complete activities I don’t find fun for Bright Dust, already got 40K sitting.

Edited by Illuminary: 4/7/2021 12:31:36 PMThis week is clash, next week is mayhem...you can get 80 kills in three to five games. Someone said when the selection for NFs to do whatever GM you want, the option to select the nightfall for normal runs opens too. But, someone posted the week 10 challenges from braytech and it looks like Proving Grounds might be coming right back. If that post was correct it looks like a bunch of strike oriented crap. The only ones I probably won't finish are the showdown and GM ones. It's not that I'm giving up on the challenges; never saw the value in beating my head against a wall doing something I don't find fun to begin with. After all, you can get bright dust and xp from vendor bounties to make up for it.

The sidearm/linear fusion bounty that was available the week of proving grounds rotation could be completed with any difficulty. I carried some guys through the legend difficulty while using a sidearm to finish it off.

I’ve been doing what ones i can besides that i’ve been busy irl, i have been on this past week just on to get the ornament in the stores and the challenges that were already completed but that was about it.

Push me towards the Crucible or PVP, they aren't getting done!

Im at 68 of the 72 available. I need last weeks and this weeks gambit. 3 presage and full armor set challenges as well. Struggling for a class item and gonna hopefully do the gambit and presage ones with my clan sometime this week. I really wish it were all retroactive. I reset my infamy and got dredgen this season. Def would have invader kills and envoys done already😩 i wouldn’t have worried about any of this for just dust but there’s that emblem for completing all challenges and i like how it looks🤤

The time spent on the challenges isn't worth the reward. If I remember correctly, the main reward is 3,000 Bright Dust. Well, I played mainly Gambit for 2 weeks, and I received 15,000 Bright Dust. The time spent on all the challenges is far more than I spent playing Gambit.
