Make Destiny 2 TRULY Free to Play On PlayStation
On #PlayStation you need to have #PlayStationPlus to play #Destiny2 multiplayer modes & @Bungie tries to sell you on top of that subscription a season pass & on top of that expansions... You guys are asking for too much money to play a FREE TO PLAY game.

Microsoft just made it truly free-to-play on their console today (April 21, 2021). On Xbox, Destiny 2 no longer needs Xbox live gold to access it’s multiplayer modes.

A lot of people are missing the point other F2P games don’t require PSplus (Warframe, Apex, etc) Destiny is the only game that I know does this. Without it I’d stop buying psplus since this is really my main game.

The only free parts are old and don't have much value. So funny, people think it doesn't cost anything to develop a game and they don't need to be paid?

The current system allows "whales" to help cover some of the cost of play for more cash-strapped players. But at the end of the day, you need to support the game and the developers. They have to pay their employees, and their creditors....as well as reward their investors with profit. Otherwise you wind up with games that start to look like Warframe. Which is constantly in your face, nickel-and-diming you for micro-spending....and is unapologetically pay-to-progress.

7 RepliesThat's a requirement from Sony and Microsoft, that Multiplayer functions needs PS+ / Xbox Live Gold. Nothing Bungie can do about. Though Xbox recently announced they're planning on making Free2Play games not require Gold anymore to play them online.
