Seasonal challenge not doing what they're meant for.
So Bungie introduced seasonal challenge this season as a way to remove some FOMO regarding weekly bounty / reward. It worked great , some free weapon there and there, lots of XP and bright dust. It could have made some of them retroactive like valor, reset, etc.. but meh that's fine.
So what's the problem then ? It's not removing FOMO at all. If we go back to when they introduced it they literally said you could come back at the end of the season and do everything , and that's a big lie ( or big misunderstanding ) :
- Some of them can be missed ex : The proving ground nightfall one , if you can't do GM good luck ( hope it's the last nf of the season ).
- The Iron banner challenge from week 10 could only be done then so no 4k dust if you weren't playing on that week.
As you could have guessed , I missed the IB challenge . Am I just ranting ? Yeah . Was it my fault ? Don't think so, would have been my fault if they never said it was doable at the end of the season. I took 3 weeks off of destiny 2 to play other games and didn't bother looking at anything related to it.
Point is , please communicate better things like this at the BEGINNING of the season. I don't care if there's a post/tweet from last week saying it has to be done this week. They said '' you can take a break , come back and do it " . I did it and now I'm missing 2 triumph and some dust , feels like the FOMO's still there.
