Achieving Glory when we lose Survival / No progression on Seasonal Challenge
So Day 1 fireteam tries out competitive for the Seasonal Challenge - Cadre of Contenders - and we win, so we got 20% progression (with the last few weeks boost on). We try it again Day 2 and decide to just throw, stand still to make enemy team kill us easier because trying to win took too long.
We got +48 Glory for losing. Correct me if I'm wrong but that shouldn't happen in competitive, PLUS even the loss didn't count towards our Cadre of Contenders challenge. We try again and bip enemy players to at least get some damage. Same thing happens, we gain Glory AND our winning streak from the day before doesn't go away (image attached).
Tried again today, and noticed my Glory rank had gone back down to 20 points, presumably from our first win. We lose and once again we gain Glory and the challenge doesn't progress. Why is this happening?
Context
Trying to help friend get the 75/75 challenges done for this season but they don't have Beyond Light so they can't do the easy Europa one because it requires bounties ... which you can't get without the expansion... ok. Trials I can't do because of the gatekeep quest Saint-14 now gives you and requires 50 elimination kills. F that. We're not high enough Level to even attempt a GM Nightfall so that left us with Competitive. Losses supposedly count for progress, wins gave bonus progress but it doesn't seem to follow that logic at all. Even if the game thought we were bots, why would the game care? It certainly doesn't seem to care for other game modes like Gambit and can easily see our other game stats, so what gives?
