Program can't start due to mysterious missing file (win7, 8, 10)
Getting this error after battleye starts
Windows 7
This has been reported on Windows 8 and 10 as well.
Reinstalls haven't helped, replacing dll hasn't worked, reportedly upgrading to Windows 10 has had some success but also some failures.
Patience is required, but silence isn't

Our issue made it to the top of the issue list in todays TWAB, so we have some progress, however shallow it may be.

7 RepliesDoing some research on battleye, can't see what windows it requires, but it does mention pirated copies are not supported either. Their website hasn't seen an update since 2017 lol

If they haven't fixed the framerate grinding to a halt at pre-rendered cinematics on W7 I have a feeling they aren't going to do jack here either.

2 RepliesSame problem, and right after i dropped money on the season pass, too. Downloaded + registered the missing dll, and now it's an "application unable to start (0xc000007b) error instead. Multiple people in this thread say it's an issue between battlEye and windows 7, so they at LEAST really should've warned us that people will be unable to play on win7 from this season on before anyone paid or preordered for the coming content...

1 Replycheck your anti-virus software, I was having that issue a while back and if its the same thing it crops up from time to time, I use avast and they have a quarantine section that you can see if they are holding the file, I haven't ever gotten a good answer other than its some kinda false positive.

Having the same issue. It would have been nice to know beforehand if they were just going to drop all windows 7 players. So much for crossplay bringing friends together lmao.

I have the same issue, can't launch with BE, can't launch without BE. And don't even get me started on 3fps cutscenes... *sigh* I just want to play this otherwise amazing game... T_T I barely socialize as it is, and I've made friends in this game, the Clan. I don't want to lose it...

Having the same issue. What I can't believe is there was no Q & A on this...no one noticed this at all? Then over two hours later we haven't heard a word about it? Very disappointing..especially after such a good showcase.

3 RepliesSame issue, Win7 SP1/SP"2". Bungies really does an incredible job of covering all of their players' bases, accounting for what they allege is supported for Destiny 2.

2 RepliesSame, also win 7. First there was that 2 fps problem in cutscenes that never got a fix, and now we can't even play the game. I can't believe that something like this slipped through testing.
