Crazy Trials Idea

I would like to throw my hat in the ring for possible ways to make Trials a little better. I recommend that you offer a new incentive for players who go Flawless and want to reset their card to get out of the Flawless pool. Let's call it "The Weight of Flawless" is applied to the player's Trials account for the rest of the weekend. What is "The Weight of Flawless" you might ask? Well, in a way to balance the pool for players who have not gone Flawless, it would apply a 20 point or 20% stat reduction for the player resets their card. In a way, it would limit some of the gimmicky tactics that they may have used to go flawless in the way of abilities and supers. It would then require flawless players to rely on gunplay and positioning to go flawless again. But wait, there is more. Announce the condition on a reset flawless card and then offer a title or an achievement for them to go flawless again at the reduced stat threshold. Call the achievement "The Weight of the Trials Crown" or something like that. I'm sure the community will come up with catchy names. It would balance out the skill gap and give average players an edge and the motivation to want to keep playing. It's an interesting idea to play around with. Every flawless reset after the first would impose another 1 point or 1% penalty to their stats as to not make them disappear from the pool population and make each reset have a risk after multiple trips to the lighthouse. Kick the idea around and see what the community can come up with.

  • I would have it just be a static debuff applied to you in stacks each time you go Flawless. You could even have a card be the "Weight of Glory" card or something, where it gives you 2 stacks each Flawless. Something small like a 3% debuff on outgoing damage and 3% increase in incoming damage for each stack would be an interesting, but not crushing debuff. Then increase by some small percentage at each stack, doesn't have to be 3%. Maybe each stack grants bonuses to drop rates of things, or perhaps each stack adds new drops to the loot pool on wins. Regardless, getting to 5 stacks would give you a cool title, as well as rain loot.
