Start from scratch
I had played destiny 2 about a year ago and linked it to steam. A week ago I wanted to start all over again and deleted everything from my vault and my characters to create a new one. Still, I'm collecting power levels extremely fast and all in all it feels like I'm not playing destiny 2 completely from scratch. That's why I wanted to ask here how to restart destiny 2 completely when you have linked it to steam without having to buy it again on a new account. I would be very grateful if someone would help me or if the mods would simply reset my account completely.

The game is designed to help you get power levels fast early. All drops will provide an increase to your light until you hit soft cap (1270). After this point, you will unlock weekly challenges that provide powerful and pinnacle gear. The power grind slows down at this point.
