I've never, in all my years in Destiny, experienced lag this bad. Not even on Hotel wifi in 2019 was it this bad. Now here I am with actually decent wifi, and enemies are dying, coming back, teleporting all over the place, public event barriers that spawn in for public events are spawning on a delay, certain ability effects aren't proccing at all, or if they do, it's well after they should. I don't know what Bungie is trying to do behind the scenes, but to say they were being subtle would be an outright lie.
-
I don't mind crossplay for PvE. But for PvP Bungie should disable it.
-
Yup. Constant disconnects
-
-
Getting plenty of lag tonight in crucible radar pings go crazy and nobody around then no radar pings and I’m dead with 4 people on my body Noticing a lot of cross play users tonight where usually I only get 1 or 2
-
A lot of background maintenance has been going on. I feel bad for the it guys having to do much maintenance.
-
I got booted because the game said they were doing maintenance but no one else got kicked, this is the second time in a month this has happened
-
I've mostly noticed aim assist randomly falling off or not working and hit registration.
-
Ever since the Halloween event began, its been a challenge even getting a full team out together for a raid or Trials, with people constantly getting error codes or “unable to connect to fire team” messages. As long as I get Telesto back for PvP I couldn’t care less about the connection issues.
-
Server issues might be from crossplay. Actually, yesterday morning I was having connection issues whenever I was in a matchmade activity, so I turned crossplay off and (whenever I could get into a matchmade activity) I stopped having issues. I turned it back on later and it was fine, but most times with stuff like crucible, ps players have really terrible latency. The servers are in no shape to support cross platform connections, so they need to do something about them first.
-
Crossplay PVP has been absolute garbage
-
tons of lag in PvP .it is more like PvC ,player versus connection
-
They suck it took 30 minutes just to get 5 people to join my fireteam on Xbox last night because of NAT issues and when we did join every crucible match was a lag fest and I mean much laggier than usual. Something must of happened on Bungie’s end lately
-
You never played trails in D1. The worse your connection, the more advantageous it was to your team. Why destiny doesn’t have dedicated servers is beyond me.
-
I think p2p games in 2021 are particularly bad at all time
-
Yes, it's getting worst with every season. But with the release of crossplay the laggy lobbies are really, really bad.
-
You should totally try PvP mode (especially on console), it's a blast, I swear...
-
What servers?
-
Good to know it isn’t just me. The game has been borderline unplayable ever since they released Festival of the Lost. 9 times out of 10, I can’t even get into the tower.
-
Actually decent WiFi - sir exo XII
-
Server lag between platforms is ridiculous, especially in PVP. Shot a few people around a corner in trials this last few weeks… needless to say to say that Xbox players have been killing me around corners as well 😂
-
they are just always bad, period. plus, a decent amount of people have bad connections which makes it even worse.
-
Yes very laggy, my bullets just seem to disappear
-
Cross play has made it much worse. In every area of the game.
-
I can’t even get to the tower most times. Just get errored out with no error code. It’s unbearable and I’m taking a break from D2 until they get it fixed. If Xbox and PlayStation have the ability to disable cross play there is NO reason PC shouldn’t be able to.
-
I do feel like the game performance has dipped season over season since they did the next gen update. We may not see any improvement on that front until WQ though.
-
Remember the good old days when loading into the tower took 20 minutes long and often players got kicked to orbit before they arrived at the tower?
