TL;DR - flawless and non-flawless players should be separated. and loop holes to dodge that system should be fixed.
I believe in trials being end-game PVP. I don't think you should play it solo. I don't think the journey to the lighthouse should be given to you...but I am a fan of the flawless pool separation.
I am a slightly above average PVP player in destiny, I have gone flawless a few times now without being carried. but I don't want to be repeatedly matched up against teams who are EXCEPTIONALLY above average. and the problem isn't just that I would match them once, but match them over and over again...thereby blocking me from ever going flawless.
Look...im paying a significant amount of time and money to play this game...im not 18 with no other responsibilities besides work and school. I have a wife and kid, I have a property to maintain. I just simply don't have the time to practice and "git gud" as much as these younger people playing.
but besides my personal limitations of time...I do still practice, and I do still get better and I am still decent at the game. I want that rewarding trip to the lighthouse.
You allowed matchmaking in trials to make it more accessible.
You allowed rewards even for losing so that people would enjoy the grind
You took away the que so no one could stack dodge..forcing a level playing field.
now its time to double down and fix "5-6 win card resetting"
Make cards non-resettable without a loss. or even better without 2 losses.
stop letting players who have a 3.0 Kd in trials take advantage of the system to farm 1.0 Kd players for loot and stats.
if you really want the game to be accessible to average players. then protect that decision and commit to it.

Average players can get their Ws and improve. Good players can get their flawless and win. Bad players need to get better in QP before coming over. The pool is too low to separate everyone. Id prefer a duos and solos joint playlist, then a strict 3 stack playlist.
