There is no way to unbind a key from in game settings. The charged melee and uncharged melee seems to have a special behavior too. For example if you bind character I to any of these keys, it will unbind from the Inventory key, but if you bind I to any other key (say the director), it doesn't unbind it from charged melee or uncharged melee. So randomly while playing the game if you press I instead of opening director it triggers the charged melee action or uncharged melee action. Another observation is that specifically changes made to charged melee and uncharged melee in game settings, do not update the user settings in C:\Users\<user account>\AppData\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs\cvars.xml file. For every other keybindings, any change you make in the game UI, gets updated in this file, but these 2 settings remain hardcoded to <cvar name="melee_uncharged" value="unused!unused" /> <cvar name="melee_charged" value="unused!unused" /> But somehow magically it still retains what ever key binding you'd set while in game. Reset to Default resets all other keybinds EXCEPT charged melee and uncharged melee. How do I unbind any key from in game Settings UI? How do I specifically unbind charged melee and uncharged melee? My only workaround has been to bind it to the apostrophe key.
