Fusions have been too strong for 3 years

(Primarily console players perspective) I've seen countless people complain about fusions in crucible. After forsaken Erentil dominated the crucible, then jotunn took over some of the heat. Now you cant go a single match without having a Main ingredient and or jotunn one shotting you every round. O cant be mad at getting shotgunned or a snipe, both of those either take some level of practice of skill and risk by the player to use, a sniper needs to practice aim, positioning, flinch control, shotgun apes need to close the gap, and need to hit the head at close range while usually being countered. Fusions like main ingredient and jotunn can nearly cross map you and have the lowest entry level of skill of any energy weapon. There is next to now skill needed or risk to the user. Charge, peek, and waste the dude 50m away who couldn't even think of shooting you, no gun can counter the range. Shotguns are to short, snipers need immense skill or luck to hit in that situation, no other weapon type can put out the dps necessary to counter it. These weapons put out heavy weapon damage for no effort. All that needs to be done is to move the precision (and likely high impact as well) frames fusions to the power weapon slot, leave rapids and everything else where its at. That way the people who want their one shot cross map fusions can at least put in the effort of getting power to use it. Bungie wants to make destiny more about gun play, allow people to have gun play not just one guy shooting his hand cannon at his inevitable doom as he stares down the barrel of the fusion thats about to ruin his day. Edit: to put into perspective of energy weapons main ingredient has 13% of all energy weapon usage and jotunn has 11%, together they make about 24% that means 1 out of just about every 4 players that goes onto crucible has it equipped.

But they were balanced by the fact that shotgun range and consistency got nerfed into oblivion. The only counter to fusions in this meta, are Chaperone and Duality, because Slugs hard counter. I rather have Shotty range reverted than a fusion nerf
