Let's wait to see how it plays out. I get the quick outrage but we haven't even seen the mods yet, or even have a total grasp of the changes they are making. I'm not going to get upset over this yet.

I hate to say it like this, but the community's patience has been run dry time and again, and I think this announcement and the responses speak for themselves. Hard to say what'll happen, but I expect things to just trek along irregardless lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why give them the time to implement something like this, only for them to tweak or go back on it later? Seeing how the response is, they need to actually explain why this decision was made, and fast. This is not something that their usual drag out tactics will help matters. I mean for an alleged MMO (their words, not mine) they sure don’t like build crafting much…

They like creating new build paths for the player base and then destroying them. Then they bring some new aspect/ mechanic and ask players to build in that direction.

Honestly though that’s a super asinine way to do things. But this goes beyond build crafting. Dunno dude, based on what little info they like to hand out, this change is just beyond bad.

I think it's supposed to be a surprise.. But we will see if the surprise is good or awful soon enough.

Unfortunately making it a “surprise” at this point will not go over well. This is something they just cannot afford to be apathetic about for the element of “surprise”. They are taking heat from a lot of places on it now, not just here. But you are right, we will see. One way or another.
