I think it's fine to judge this situation as it stands right now. I'm not sure how anything about the weapon crafting is going to make losing orbs worth it unless crafted weapons can generate orbs, which sounds silly. Sure, weapon crafting might be really cool, but we still lost orbs on multikills.
