Okay, so I gave the game a bit of a break due to extreme boredom (not really getting into that here). I'd say maybe 3 weeks if I were to guess. I wasn't really keeping track of the time.
Season of the Lost started August 24 and now it is January 16. Ever since Crossplay started with the season and I got my first ever (and likely bogus) restriction warning due to "bad connection" that I don't recall me ever having at the time unlike the one or two other people I saw in my matches that were the only ones teleporting and all that, I have been using a wired connection. You know, to rule out wifi issues in case something was wrong with that. I never saw a difference. And I STILL don't.
Why has this not been addressed after all this time? I already know many players are experiencing the same issues as me. I've been monitoring the reports on the internet. I still haven't heard an official response about the issue. I haven't had any error codes for months other than earlier with Dares of Eternity like many players and no "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" messages. The only times I notice lag are with PvE enemies in really busy activities (very rare now) and only specific players in the Crucible (very common).
Let me tell you. I'm not pleased about my team getting destroyed by a Titan who's stuck running into a wall and somehow one-shotting me with melee hits while he's in another dimension. Or watching an enemy at Zone B on the map, Convergence, getting shot by a teammate on Zone A through the giant wall there. Like I said, it's just specific players who are lagging. The teammate who shot through the wall was not lagging on my screen or shooting anywhere near the enemy that I saw die where he shouldn't have. This desync is getting ridiculous.
