Haven't had a session in a bit due to tech issues and scheduling. The Party/Class. Currently Level 2 [spoiler] Raxion "Rax" Summerheart Leonin War Cleric - Jock Imperial Noble Gwyn Saige Hexblood Dream Druid - Witchy Stoner Commoner Sebastien "Seb" LeBlazu Tiefling Bard - Jazz, Cool Guy Rich Family Gertrude Willowcreek Halfling Scribes Wizard - Nerd Commoner Anastasia Silvestre Changeling Aberrant Sorcerer - Legacy Mean Girl Imperial Noble Remelia "Remy" Shedaershye Shadar Kai Hexblade Warlock - Goth Nerd Pirate Princess[/spoiler] This session of Magic School didn't involve much Magic School. It's the weekend, so school's out and we spent time out in the city, because we're college students and gotta pay for our supplies and what not. We woke up and I applied my edgelord skull face paint. This is relevant because in this world the Shadar Kai have special skull face paints to denote social rank and ceremonial stuffs. My paint marks me as royalty! Anyway, we head out to do some shopping and pick up some jobs and learned that Shadar Kai are really common in coastal towns. There's a lot of skulls in the crowds giving me bows with crossbone arms, acknowledging my status. Party thinks it's just a weird Shadow Elf thing. I walked up to a few and asked in Thieves Can't about work (and this isn't an Edgy Elf thing, the DM homebrewed Thieves Can't into an available language because it's silly other classes with a criminal backgrounds can't get it. Seb also has it, his family are like the Tiefling Mafia or something, moving on!) One of them gave me a bag to deliver further in town, aswell as some shady instructions. I'm smuggling drugs to pay for Magic School lol. We hit up some places, restocked our ingredients and spell components, some of the others bought new clothes, window shopped some magic shops, and picked up some other simple jobs. Aside from mine, we got two separate requests to gather ingredients and found the Obligatory Sewer Mission to slay some... thing. I zoned out a bit thinking about magic drugs. First job was gathering some special flowers outside of town. Pretty simple, we found quite a few, kept some for ourselves, and killed an Owlbear. Seb held his action to cast Vicious Mockery when it was looking close to dead so he could insult it to death. Easy Copper bits. Then we followed the instructions for my job to a restaurant in a high class part of town. Looking inside I found the client marked by a badge on their shirt, and it's the two people we passed speaking Giant in the halls last session. I quietly left and recruited Anastasia to shape-shift into some rando and deliver the package, since she can also do freaky mind stuff and might get some info. She didn't, but we did make 5 gold each. We decided to split from the main party and follow them while the others did the Sewer Mission. The rest of the party entered the sewers to hunt the beastie and gather mushrooms for the other collectable task. They fought a few Kobolds and some alligator troll thing that kept regenerating health until they lit it on fire. The fire also ignited some gas though, big botta boom. They lived and got that Fungus. Gwyn identified them as medicinal and psychedelic. They got a bunch of silver and a gold piece each. Meanwhile we followed these guys to a fancy home and overheard a bit about some kind of powder and a volatile alchemical reaction. Not drugs. Bombs. We decided to return to the others and maybe come back later in the evening. Oh, and Seb played some jazz on the streets and made a bit of cash. We met up at a less fancy restaurant in a less high class part of town and discussed plans for this Magic War Games competition coming up and the possible terrorist activities Ana and I have uncovered over dinner, then decided breaking and entering is definitely the best option for dealing with said possible terrorists. So we did crimes. Specifically myself, Seb, Gwyn morphed into a rat, and Anastasia did crimes while the lawful good dweebs kept watch. Anastasia kept a psychic link to Gwyn as he scouted around and Seb and I took care of locks and investigated rooms. We found a Bag of Holding, a bunch of potions, and a hidden door. And then the place was raided by the city watch, along with a few professors from the academy. End of Session 3!
