Exactly right. If it wastes your time - it's a win win for Bungle because they have you playing and they don't need to add new content. Same reason they have no Bulk converters for Materials - Tokens they decide to obsolete and leave you pressing 2 buttons for hours at a time to get rid of them.

Destiny is an online service game. The longer you are playing the more chance you will spend additional money on their ‘stuff’. When you play, your friends play therefore increasing the chance of more people spending money because they want to have the same ‘stuff’ as everyone else does. Also isn’t having ‘players online’ what every successful game devs want?

Satisfaction is also a factor on spending money. Long time with disappointed or unsatisfied feeling doesn't help when you want people spend money. Me as example, I would recommend my friends and acquaintances to stay away from destiny with how they make the game slower despite vaulting content (especially paid one) claimed to make the game runs faster. Not to mention the price just to have a sliver of content and that can be taken away anytime they want, why should I spend money, or suggest someone to buy something in destiny?

You are aware that quality of life improvement ALSO keeps people playing too right? These longer play times via slow/tedious tasks is a flawed conspiracy that I can't take seriously. Even if it were true, For every player they get to spend more money by throttling and slowing things down they're making players lose interest due to how tedious switching stuff around for each activity is. There are times when I look at different activities I need certain mods for after playing PvP and literally just not do them or get off.
