Bungie, I don’t think you understand how annoying it is having to wait hours on a Tuesday to play the new week.
Move the maintenance window.
Nobody wants to play destiny on Mondays at 11am or 2pm for example.
People WANT to play Tuesday after reset.

I find it fascinating that some people are either not aware that the world has a number of different time zones, or they're so self centred that they think theirs is the only one that matters.
-
"nobody" implies you presume there is not ONE individual who could careless about your misguided opinion. You are the person I've seen complain about this - so it sounds like a YOU problem
-
time zones are a thing man
-
They do maintenance when its good for their employees. Not you.
-
Do you realise the world doesn’t revolve around you ? 11am for you might be 11pm for someone else.
-
I always play destiny wednesday and monday most since those are the only days i am home all day. Couldnt care less about tueseday.
-
Ignorant and self centered post.
-
This is some next-level ignorant post if I've ever seen one lmao

1. They aren't going to do that. Bungie is a company based on the West Coast of the US, and they are doing to do that work DURING the normal workday for where they are. You should want it done then, because that is when people are fresh, and they have the most resources available to do it right the first time.
Nobody wants to play destiny on Mondays at 11am or 2pm for example.
2. Except the people playing at those times. Also why would they waste time with TWO maintenance cycles? 3. They are doing this because they are preparing the game for the release of Witch Queen. That DLC is going to introduce massive changes to the game, and they are getting the servers READY for those changes. They are doing it a bit at a time, so they don't have to take the game offline for a day or more right befroe the game launches....and without the ability to see if the changes are working as intended before people pile into the game looking to play the new content. Sometimes (if you're wise) you realize that you need to put up with MINOR inconveniences, in order to avoid MAJOR problems (not to mention major inconveniences) later on.

Edited by Error Code: Skill Issue: 1/25/2022 7:07:59 PMMaintenance time is fine. No matter what time or day they perform maintenance, some people will still be inconvenienced.
-
Edited by IAGNRG: 1/26/2022 1:43:04 AMI believe this is one of those non issues.
-
Edited by Quantum240: 1/26/2022 12:09:03 AMFun fact: no matter what time maintenance is at, someone will be inconvenienced. It really doesn’t matter and it’s fine as is.
-
I mean, most of us have jobs or school i.e. A life outside of Destiny, so it's really no problem. If you're a basement dweller that does nothing but play games, play a different game or better yet, emerge from the basement.

Is this a recent thing, because most weeks I’ve ever been home on a Tuesday when rest happened I was able to log in at reset. The exception being if there was an event that just started or ended, or the beginning of a new season where I needed to download an update because stuff had been added or removed from the tower and other locations. Normally I’m at work, but when I was on vacation for 2 weeks in December I don’t remember having to wait for the servers at Tuesday’s reset.
-
I think its fine
-
That's why I liked when it all happened at night not during the day
-
Maintenance window is fine. It doesn't matter when they do maintenance cause someone somewhere will be impacted by it.
-
As long as maintenance is done before reset I don't see why it matters. The only thing that is a pain is when there are corresponding app updates that need to be installed. Destiny takes FOREVER to update.on PlayStation.
-
Seriously you complaining about sometimes having a 1 hour maintenance / download .... At reset you want to play but not 1 hour later Is this some sort of parody I'm not getting ?
-
How do you know what time people wanna play?
-
Obviously it needs to be done at the current times so they then have chance to solve all of the -blam!- ups before they go home for the day
-
Any time will always be bad for someone It's common working hours for where Bungie's office is, so it's probably easier for them. I remember awhile back it was like 4am Eastern or something and they talked about how some people had to be in office to flip the switches, which sounds like a pain for those people
-
Its fine you all are just overreacting
-
Maintenance on a Tuesday is not a good idea. But, to be fair, Bungie does have a knack for having bad ideas.
-
I wonder what the people that start the maintenance at 5:45 in the morning think of your post.
-
I don't want to play at reset. I work 6:45am-3:14pm M-F.
