Whether it’s Trials, Crucible, Survival or Gambit, there should be some kind of immediate significant penalty for people leaving mid-game. Like a day-long ban from the said activity, or such. I’m tired of seeing half of the team leave because they couldn’t handle it anymore. Obviously such measures should be distinguished from connection errors by the game.
I get that some people just get in to complete their bounties or whatever, and at the end of the day it’s just a game, but you leaving your team ruins the experience for everyone on it. And lately it’s happening more and more often.
This Friday my first Trials match i ended up playing 1v3 after the first round. I never leave, so I did what I could and obviously lost.
And just today in Control I made a screenshot of results table to see who left (we were 2 people short), just to realize in Destiny app that NONE of the players on my team in the end of the match were those I started with. Like wtf.
Similar situations happened with opposing teams as well, and at that point the fight loses all it’s appeal - I personally don’t feel good winning against 2-3 opponents, while I have a full team. It feels cheap.
I obviously don’t blame Bungie for the fact that so many players have an emotional maturity of a 4-year old, but that’s not okay when situations like these become a rule and not an exception.
It would also help if quitters would stop acting like little b*tches, and would stick with their team until the end of the match - it’s not that long. OR - if it’s that unbearable, why do you play it to begin with?
I don’t think much will change on the player side anytime soon, that’s why I ask developers to look into it more. It’s a problem.
