Exorcism quest autocompleted unable to actually do

Hello, I logged on destiny tonight to finally do the exorcism quest as I've been unable throughout the week. I get on, go to Mara where the quest has a marker and she gives me the debriefing of the quest. I'm confused, because I never bloody did the quest. I go to check the questbook and I look through the details and see that I completed the first step which was do the Exorcism quest. This honestly sucks, I couldn't do it on other characters because it did the same for them. And there's no option to pick the quest up again from the quest terminal. Please does anyone know a fix for this. I'd hate to have waited months for the climatic moment of the season, only to have to have to watch it on Youtube. Edit: Went to look in my triumphs and found the exorcism triumph, and it was uncompleted, so its proof that it's a bug at least.

 • Due to a widespread issue with the quest not registering completion of the Exorcism step, locking players out of completing the quest; Bungie opted to instead have that step auto-complete for all players, given the short time frame before Witch Queen releases. You should see a node for the Exorcism mission, if you view the Dreaming City map, next to the Blind Well. From the Bungie Help Twitter account:
We have automatically completed the first step of the Severing The Worm quest for the Exorcism mission for all players. Players will now be prompted to speak to Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M. to continue the quest from step 2.
