This isn't a very common thing, but there are documented incidents where guardians are kicked from fireteams just before a boss dies. This is usually done so that the fireteam leader can (a) bring in someone they know to share the rewards, or (b) enjoy knowing that they made someone work and denied their rewards.
A solution might be to prevent kicking when an encounter is in progress, or when a boss starts taking damage (or a combination).
Thank you 😁

OutRiders had the same issue, they fixed it so you could not be kicked after the final boss encounter started.

Edited by BraddyBo: 3/30/2022 8:10:25 AMThe simple solution is to add a vote to kick system, no more kicking anyone at any time except maybe in orbit.

Edited by rZI3: 3/29/2022 8:56:33 AMSeen this happen more so In d1 days, and I think I’ve seen it happen once in d2, but that’s not to say it happens often. It is a -blam!- move, and you can’t help but feel for the one who got booted just before the boss encounter ends, and if that person sucks then the fireteam leader has plenty of time to boot before stating a boss encounter.. so I don’t see why anyone could be against your suggestion to make it fair game and that a fireteam leader cannot boot during a started boss encounter, but only before or after.
-
I haven't had any issues with this since I don't LFG, but I agree. Once an encounter starts you should not be able to boot anyone until after the loot drops for that encounter.
-
It’s amazing the amount of solutions people suggest that have obvious issues. Having a kicked person agree? Wonder how that defeats the purpose. Giving loot to a kicked player? That won’t be abused. Investigating every report? That’ll happen. Just rerun a boss fight it’s not like you loose a checkpoint. For each person unfairly kicked there are two who join end game activities unprepared or expecting Carrie’s.
-
I get you but do as I do. Be the leader of the fireteam.
-
In the hundreds of raids I have completed in D1 and D2 I don’t think I have ever seen this happen once. Not sure it’s patch worth issue.
-
The Destiny Community, LMAO!!! Great right?!
-
I disagree with your logic and requesting Bungie to spend money and resources to stop an non issue. When we’re you kicked? What activity? Why do you think you were kicked? Have you thought about being the fireteam leader? Negates the whole reason for this post? I’m sympathetic to your booted experience but really?

"Hey Sleepy...What's the shape of Italy?"

If you kick someone, it should send the entire fireteam (minus the kicked person) to orbit, then reload at the checkpoint for that encounter.

Thank you 😁[/quote] The best solution is just to give a share of the loot to the kicked player and prevent addition of anyone else. That way you’re stuck with or without the player at least until the end of the most recent encounter. That way if the kicked player is really that bad then you’ll still kick him - if he’s not you’ll keep him.
-
A better idea would be to require a reason to kick someone, that will be investigated, and if you boot someone for no reason you will be banned
-
Or have a pop up for the player being kicked to agree to it or not
-
Bump. Bungie is totally oblivious on how lame this community can be or they would’ve implemented this so long ago.
-
They'll just kick you earlier before the option is locked. This wouldn't solve much, but it's a nice thought.
-
Whoever tries to change this system is dumb. Like how about yall just not piss off the group and play. Never been an issue. No wonder this community toxic. Yall get mad when yall kicked and call it soft or cry about rewards. Like that's some low life crap

This recently happened to my son in VoG. Leader was a top 5% raider. He reported her -blam!-. Put the video up on youtube as well.
-
The people that do this are human waste.
-
Said this before - as many great improvement ideas fly past over and over... - but Outriders implemented exactly this to great success. To lock the boot member feature at any final encounter should be mandatory. It shouldn't be needed in an ideal world but in reality there's an abundance of toxic, immature and arrogant players to make it necessary.

Edited by Meatbaag: 3/28/2022 10:24:19 PMDeleted. Because you whiney children cannot ignore a suggestion you don't agree with. Grow up arseholes
-
Make it also kick the person doing the kicking - that'll stop the childish BS.
-
Or maybe a feature that recognise your efforts beforehand and still let you reap the reward. That's fine if it's gear, but who want to share emblems with a bunch or lame ☠️ €&/#(")€%& anyway that kicked you from the game!
-
Disable kick if the encounter is active (darkness zone) or mission end timer is running. If you really need to kick someone, wipe first. That won't stop abuse completely, but at least they'll have to do the encounter from scratch.

Edited by AubsTheBelieber: 3/28/2022 4:01:24 PMTo kick people before the rewards drop is something only Sociopaths would do. A) They go out of their way to hurt others. B) They have no remorse. You would think that is irrelevant cause remorse is feeling guilty after the fact but without remorse, you can kick people to juke them out of rewards cause their is nothing in your brain to stop you, no moral compass. C) Kids are an exception to this. If it's a kids first or second time doing it, they are just learning how to act and their remorse/guilt after doing it will teach em they didn't like doing it, and it feels shitty for them too. Source: 27 years with my Sociopath Mother who turned out to be a serial -blam!- when Therapy/EMDR recovered memories for me, repressed memories I never knew I was missing.

Off topic, I know... But I hate it when playing PvP and people back out because you're down a point or so. It happens WAY too often and it needs to be some type of consequences for it. And no, it's not a connection issue. Simply being done to pad wins or K.D.
