Paid x amount of $ to do the 30th anniversary, and the experience is getting rather -blam!- by the fact that it takes forever and 18 business days to get any decent amount of strange coins. Whose idea was this? The fun police or something? Christ, I was going to spend most of the time doing wq stuff anyway, there's no point in needlessly restricting squidface game show fun.
How lame of you, Bungo. Plz fix.

Thats the way Bungie rolls. Make players waste as much time as possible. If anything is too "efficient" in Bungies eyes, it gets adjusted in a heartbeat. Anything that is an annoyance to palyers or plain broken will stay in the game for months or even years.
-
Am I stupid for asking just what in the crap we need strange coins for aside from the star horse magnum bounty????
-
You didn't spend money on the Dares content, it was free.
-
Edited by Infamous067: 4/14/2022 11:35:28 AMIve come to the realization that the game has a cap on how much loot you can get. We cant be getting strange coins when the game is rewarding orange border weapons and other types of materials. I doubt strange coins will be acquired by playing the game anymore
-
That was a seasonal activity, by all accounts it would of been removed. Since it was 30th though they said it would stay. Not sure for how long though. So yea, the season bonus of coins from all over is gone.
-
I'd really like to see these at least brought back to Playlist activities. It would only enable us to play more Dares and provide incentive by making Starhorse bounties affordable.
-
Yah want coins? Play dares.
-
To be fair, the strange coins were part of the free content. Not the paid. Still sucks though.
-
Yeah it is a bit annoying i get it's like a seasonal currency but making it so i don't get em from bounties ect. is stopping me from doing Dares, not making me want to do it, to earn some only to have to do it again.

Edited by Toots238857: 4/13/2022 10:59:41 PMI don't even remember reading any patch notes, etc....explaining the reason. Was this a stealth nerf? Say it ain't so? Having them drop from other activities truly didn't bother anyone or anything at ALL. Just makes no sense.
-
They need a way to force players into activities. If no one plays the activity someone's feeling will get hurt because apparently criticism is a form of malicious hate speech. SEE: Quests requiring Gambit, which should honestly be a rotating activity, similar to IB.
-
Edited by Desolator0: 4/13/2022 9:35:24 AMAnother stealth change done exclusively to screw we the players, typical Bungie. Just like stealthily doubling the XP required to earn free Bright Engrams.

Edited by Kiro - 13: 4/13/2022 12:47:51 AMBungie will just say its a bug if they do. Why admit fault when they can say it was not intended? One would be an open statement that they want to devalue players time while the other would make it seem like a simple mistake. And the point of this being a crazy conspiracy theory has long left the station. They got a track record of this. Or to put it another way: If they are chill with covering up misconduct at the office and selling me a pin to say they support the cause while proliferating those kind of toxic behaviors, why would they?
-
Actually they can leave that as it is just give us way to turn tokens into coins since you can turn 3 or 7 coins into one token bc i dont want or need tokens anymore yet get more of them than coins
-
Pretty sure they didn't tell us either lol
-
Yes 100% A pretty low blow for them not actually telling us.
-
I tried farming dares, I couldn't. After about an hour and seeing only 1 strange coin at the end for 8 to 10 minute runs, I burnt out. I'd rather speed strikes or snap my neck playing crucible for the coins than hear about my ghost being spaied or neutered again.
-
Strange Coins basically made whatever activity you were doing non-useless. Great move Bungo.
-
Agreed. Sadly I doubt they will. 😞
-
What Strange Coin Starvation?
-
Aha. Something felt amiss.
-
Lol 18 business days
-
Yeah. Wish I had gotten a good Wastelander before they basically removed strange coins from the game.
