Hey fellow guardians, I have a very high fondness for this rocket launcher from Destiny 1, Any thoughts on it returning for D2?
-
While we’re at it, bring back most of the exotic weapons. I miss the red death. They should make it a 540 rpm. That would be sooooo dope
-
I’m sure it would get a huge buff/rework too
-
No No land beyond
-
Which version? The one that just dropped a solar flare or the one that spewed a blanket of napalm everywhere? Ooh what if it spawned the new fountain flare that also bathed the floor in napalm and it caused widespread scorch + ignition? Sounds like it could be useful. But... Most enemies quickly walk away from lingering AoE damage so it may be a waste. Depends on how it would work.

I do miss the subtle roar it makes when releasing the rocket payload. You can somewhat hear it too back in Destiny if you have good hearing

Edited by Swiftlock: 6/7/2022 11:32:24 PMSounds redundant. The solar heavy slot is already oversaturated. - Gally, Sleeper, Xeno, 1K Voices, Eyes of Tomorrow, etc. We really don't need another. I'd rather see Bungie put effort into bringing back a D1 exotic that fills a unique niche like The First Curse or No Land Beyond.
-
Why? Why bring a mediocre rocket launcher from D1?
-
No. We don't need more old weapons from D1, we need NEW weapons
-
Ive always wanted Dragons Breath and Nemesis Star to come back.
-
Yes but make it better
-
Missed opportunity this season.
-
I would love to see Dragon's Breath back in D2 It would fill a PvE DoT and Area Denial Niche that no other Exotic Rocket Launchers currently does Only thing Dragon's Breath is comparable to is Anarchy but it's still different
-
Why bother we got it’s much better void cusion deathbringer
-
NO. We need more Arc exotic rocket launchers. Or a stasis, hmm......
-
Honestly bringing it back with a synergy to scorch / ignitions would be fantastic, and it is easily a missed opportunity to say the least I would personally love to shoot a rocket at the feet of a big boss, scorching it until it ignites and does a big ball of damage afterwards
-
Nah nah nah, if anything needs to be brought back its Necrochasm.
-
I'd love to see it coming back. It was extremely fun to use.
-
I always wanted Dragon breath back....and with a tweak to fit the whole solar 3.0 or could be really interesting
-
Only if it’s buffed Easy solution is to make rocket detonation trigger an Ignition
-
There’s a lot of other exotics I’d much rather see come back, but, if they did re-add dragons breath, it would be pretty cool to see what they would do. They could make the impact of the rocket make a medium/large mushroom cloud appear above it. Cool ideas.

Edited by Desolator0: 6/7/2022 7:44:05 PMMake it apply Scorch and give it Incandescent as Jotunn has, too. Maximum fire, maximum explosions.
-
Me too! That was one of my favourite exotics
-
its weird but i too have a strange fondness for this weapon, even tho i didnt use it much even after the buff. Aside from perhaps having too many solar exotics in ratio, i think this could be added with new functionality. First off. the name is dragon's breath so why not have a trail of fire scorching the ground as it flies through the air. some what akin to a themite grenade. Then of course a large radius of fire after impact as area denial/dot is its thing. Lastly, maybe enemies inside the dot gain scorch stacks faster against other sources?
-
Or just throw a solar grenade
-
We don’t need another exotic rocket launcher to be worse than gjallarhorn
-
The fact that Solar 3.0 just happened plus we already have Hothead... I'm actually surprised that Bungie didn't work it into the game yet. It was never better than Gjallerhorn but it was still crazy fun to to use. Releasing the fire button detonates the napalm canister but it also had impact damage.
