Cosmodrome: Rocket yard and The Blast

So I have been playing around in D1 and noticed that both the Rocketyard and The Blast are patrol-able locations in the cosmodrome but are partially absent in D2 (I say partially because most of the rocketyard and all of The Blast are in sepiks strike). Why are these locations non patrol-able in D2? I ask because honestly the cosmodrome feels significantly more hollowed out in D2. And I’m quite confident SIVA is not the the reason because both the Divide and Gateway were in the plague lands patrol too and yet they are present. I’m not asking for them to be added now or anytime soon, because bungie has a lot on their plate right now. But why were they excluded in the first place?

  • The answer is simple. It's not because Bungie is being lazy, or cheap, or greedy or anything like that. It's a matter or simplicity and efficiency. The Cosmodrome only exists in D2 for new light players and their opening campaign. All of the parts that are not necessary for that introduction campaign was stripped away to make it stream lined and to keep the file size manageable.
