Can you PLEASE add a definition to the flavortext that you have to do it in ONE GO! Got to the Caiatl encounter and decided to go get something to eat, got the checkpoint and left for an hour. Came back and beat Caiatl after several tries. Except, no triumph. I thought to myself: What gives? Went to the forums to look if other people had the same problem and lo and behold... You. Have. To. Do. It. In. One. Go. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW BEFOREHAND! There is no mention that you can't pause your progress even for a brief time. This is something that should be mentioned at the start before you decide to spent most of your day to chase a triumph. I feel utterly robbed of my accomplisment and would like some more transparency on Bungies part.
Edit: Finished the dungeon again and got my triumph (one death away from flawless but hey, that was never my goal). My point still stands, these kinds of things should be addressed in the triumph itself, not from forums or other players, because if there are specific requierenents, they should be made clear within the game itself. Especially for New Lights and people who don't do these kinds of endeavors. Signing off.

What point would it make if you could just do caiatl and get credit?
-
Well thats not how solo works x) Before trying a challenging and time consuming activity, gather as much informations as possible.
-
I just finished my solo run and also didn't count for me because I didn't do it in one go, not sure if bungie knows this, but some of us have real life jobs!
-
It’s been that way since the first dungeon came out man
-
Everyone knows that any dungeon or raid should be done in SINGLE playthrough.
-
It's similar for the flawless triumphs, if your in a fireteam the whole fireteam must go flawless not just you but they never mention that in the description.
-
Solo dungeons are always one session. Their system reads each time you go in as a session and it doesn’t directly connect runs so it cant guarantee you did all the dungeon solo unless it’s one go. Has been this way for years.

-
I can agree, especially when the triumph states to complete all encounters solo. Personally, I think as long as you start and complete an encounter solo then it should just check the box for that encounter and when you check the boxes for all the encounters then the triumph unlocks. This is how the raid triumphs work for completing encounters with all the same subclass element or same class. As for flawless and solo flawless triumphs it would still have to be all in one run for obvious reasons.
-
I did similar. Beat the first cp boss, took a break, came back the next day and decided to finish everything else. Took me 3 hours and then only to find out you can't take a break, u must do it the bungie way. You must earn this the way they want you to but the triumph says clearly "complete all encounters in the duality dungeon solo". Nothing there indicates a single session without orbiting or taking a break (sorry, I'm a human I have to eat, sleep and go to a job). Even if people say "hurr durr it's been this way since forever". Then why not clarify it for those that haven't been here forever?
-
tbh they should just make the solo triumph be encounter based so you still have to do each encounter but you don't have to do it in one sitting.
-
I was curious if it had to be in one shot. I honestly don't care enough to really do it. But I was thinking if I did would it need to be in one shot or could I have a CP and take breaks. But again can't find this vital info IN GAME. Like many things that seem to be important little tid bits. Have to search for the info. Sigh.
-
Look now you have a proof of concept that you can do it on your own it’s all about practice now
-
The most outrageous thing is that it doesn’t even make any sense whatsoever. And in addition to that, I don’t wanna know how many runs end because of their trash servers.
-
They need to add disclaimers like these to triumphs.

You’ve been playing long enough, you should have known.
-
Always been this way. If you didn't know, that's on you. But, on the bright side, now you know.
-
Yeah its completely idiotic not to inform the player of this. That's a huge f*cking detail to omit from something like that. They really struggle with very basic communication skills.
-
If the triumph does not contain individual nodes for each encounter then it has to be completed within one run.
-
Completely agree, JUST FOUND OUT MYSELF the hard way....I did the boss first last night sense I new I had plenty of time. Then came back and did the other two today....was just about to make my own post before I saw yours.

Edited by LikwiD_SmOkE22: 7/10/2022 7:06:29 PMWhy would you ruin your run like that? It's always been like this if you leave you have to start over to get the triumph done. Not trying to be rude but how new of a player are you?
-
Edited by Gansito: 7/10/2022 9:55:00 PMIts always been this way. Really its to prevent cheesable ways tp get the triumph done. Like steeling a checkpoint and doing it solo from there on.
-
If you left the instance it becomes a cp cps have never counted for anything.
-
Yeah I get you. I got to second encounter and decided to call it a day. Then my clanmates told me its gotta be done in one run. 😕😕
