Airborn Efficiency

Honestly, just didn't really know where else to put this so I'm just going to try my luck here. I've been here with Destiny since day one. I still remember my brother coming home with his brand new PS4 and us loading the game up for the first time. Lots of good memories, especially in the Crucible. Week after Week we'd grind out Trials and Iron Banner, Control to Rift, you name it, we played it. Recently though, it's been harder to find time to play, which is natural of course as one gets older and takes on more responsibility, but then Season 17 launched and Airborn efficiency became a thing, and it's been so awful trying to even play a game of crucible now. Not only do I need to take my already mediocre gear into the crucible, but now I have a whole new stat to work into, one of which I can't even see, so I'm basically required to go outside of the game and do my homework to actually try and have an understanding of what weapons I gotta run in order to even stand a chance and it's just incredibly irritating to the point I haven't even been playing as much anymore. It's really taken the fun out of the game that's already grindy enough just to get good armor and weapons. In all honesty, no other game seems to be making such a deal about airborne effectiveness, so why is Destiny? It's really made this game a harder grind than it really should be. I shouldn't be forced to use an xyz loadout with xyz mods to even just shoot my gun in the air and hope that the bullet connects. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this, but it really feels like Bungie is trying to re-invent the wheel in a game that's already loaded with space magic as is. What's next? Is the Moon going to have a different A.E. stat than Earth? If that's the case, better hope we never go to Jupiter cause those bullets going straight to the ground. All jokes and jests aside, I really just miss being able to log in with a decent loadout, get some decent plays, and actually enjoy my Crucible experience. I don't care if the A.E. stat is made more obvious, I shouldn't be needing to worry about that in a game where I can literally cross-map a space wizard in full battle armor with a bow that I picked up off a war dogs corpse. I'm just saying, realism isn't exactly the name of the game here, and it's pretty stupid that I even have to write this.
