Upon review of the footage he had a pretty sizeable amount of health left (At least 100K) when you all died alongside from what I know that his chest closes pretty soon after he does the wipe mechanic I'm going to go ahead and say you failed to kill him.

review again and you will see his health was gone before he is starting the wipe mechanic.I'm going to go ahead and say he killed Oryx.

look at the final frame before he killed us, there was nothing left plus there was a sunspot on his chest.

Did some more searching I was in fact correct. When you wipe the health bar disappears exactly like his did I'm not entirely sure how to send a screenshot but he did in fact have yellow on his healthbar when you wiped also more info I gathered his chest closes when he in fact wipes a team plus sunspots don't deal a lot of damage in fact they can struggle with red bars.
