I don’t understand why dawn blade takes longer to get than Golden Gun you can survive shots from Dawnblade or straight up dodge it unlike golden gun where you can just shoot and get an instant kill. Makes no sense to me…
-
Because dawnblade gets damage resist and lasts 3 x as long as golden gun...and golden gun doesnt get damage resist.

Dawn blade doesn’t necessarily require one to aim in order to hit. Golden, while the hit box definitely feels more forgiving than its D1 days as well as early D2, still requires a good bit of aiming to get that instant kill

I have like a 1% success rate in killing active dawnblade helicopters. I have like a 50% success rate in killing yeehaw goldy bois trying to sling some solar lead. I don't really know if that has anything to do with it? All I know is I fear the sky wizard.

Edited by shwabbywabby: 10/1/2022 12:10:24 AMBecause it had the highest win rate in top tier PVP for years and that was during the time Chaos Reach was full on busted and shot through walls. So basically it needed bringing in line with with everything else.
-
I think it’s just because Dawnblade can fly and it’s movement speed. It needs a complete overhaul though if you ask me. 6-shooter Goldie on the other hand could use some reductions in PvP. Anyone using it that knows how to use it can easily wipe teams with very little counterplay at most levels. Don’t know what it needs but it needs something…

Idk how you survive from a dawnblade impact tbh. Last time i checked it was a ohk
-
Because Bungie hates dawnblade. They won't be happy until it has a 0% usage rate and they can justify deleting it from the game entirely.
I don’t understand why dawn blade takes longer to get than Golden Gun you can survive shots from Dawnblade or straight up dodge it unlike golden gun where you can just shoot and get an instant kill. -
Plus it has the shortest duration of any super I know of except maybe high beam.

Edited by Scratch: 9/30/2022 4:36:14 AMBungie didn't want everybody's super coming up at the same time during PvP. To stop this, supers were given 'tiers' some are quick, some take longer. Like anything else in Destiny, it's arbitrary. All to stop 'super time' the point in PvP where everyone's super's up and everyone starts poppin em. Don't overthink it, Bungie don't.

Because golden gun you can take it down with one shotgun blast dawn blade no one is dumb enough to stand in front of it or hide behind a corner from it. Dawn blade is strong as hell in the right hands
-
Game also takes neutral game into account (which is kind of weird, considering the neutral game abilites have different cooldowns as well)
-
Hey Guardian. I suppose the answer resides in the mobility provided by the Dawnblade. It's true that the Golden Gun is more deadly in a direct fight, but Dawnblade has the great advantage to allow the user to fly and move as he likes in the air (literally fly), which is a strong element one should not understimate.

Super times in crucible are awful now.
