There is no QuickPlay. Bungie removed this queue more than a year ago when gamers wanted to choose their match type. They were leaving a match as soon as it began. Matchmaking was not quick anymore. Bungie’s solution to improve matchmaking time was crossplay. QuickPlay was a short-lived queue that provided random Control and Clash matches through a queue. It is long gone and never coming back. The name does NOT refer to the speed at which matchmaking occurs in a single playlist. Control has replaced QuickPlay. • It’s the same thing… just under the name of the only game mode that the broader term, quickplay, encompassed. I imagine Bungie intended on making a single quickplay playlist with numerous different game modes in it, including control, but they never fulfilled their goal of adding more gamemodes. That’s what it’s seems like. So really, control is still quickplay, they just don’t call it that anymore.Nothing has changed to control since d2 launched, only the name when selecting it from the directory.

 • No, it isn't the same thing. QuickPlay was a queue that sent requests to the Control and Clash queues. Bungie implemented QuickPlay about the time that early information regarding Halo Infinite became available. Halo was due to be released in a few months, and it would have a Quick Play queue. Faced with a declining population in the Spring of 2021, Bungie slightly altered the queue name that Halo Infinite would use. The goal was to stop the population decline. Instead, QuickPlay accelerated the decline. With crossplay due to become live in a little over a month, Bungie decided to remove the QuickPlay queue.

 • I still understand your argument though. Even if they’re different playlists, they were meant to be casual. Not meant to have SBMM, which is what essentially makes a gamemode competitive
