They shouldn't reward exotics for a 5 minute low level activity my 6 year old niece can complete with her eyes closed. Jeez, some of you guys want this game to become way too casual, it's so laughable. It was silly back when it was possible to get exotics out of public events.
The reason the rewards are so crappy is because public events are low level stuff that blueberries start out with when they're beginning the game. Not all the content in the game is meant to hand you the world on a silver platter.
It would water down how often you can get exotics and make them less of a rarity in the game. Exotics are supposed to be, you know.... Exotic? Rare to find in game. You want them handed out like candy even more when you can already farm them from lost sectors?
Just add enhancement cores, finest matterweave, concentrated mattergems and I would even be cool with adding raid banners as a reward for public events. Consumables that a new player can start to stock up on for when the game starts to get alot harder.

Edited by R-E-D-C-E-L-L: 10/3/2022 7:37:41 AMThat really doesn't mean anything lol I think it's hilarious how in destiny there's people like you who are legitimately prejudiced against other people's classes. Like imagine walking down the street and someone says OMG GUYS LOOK.... it's a warlock VOIDwalker lmao Like listen to yourself. You legitimately think everyone plays only one build. You just started destiny or something, you new around here? Meanwhile you have a grand total triumph score of barely anything, you have your game history and stat trackers locked because you're probably embarrassed by your KD, like... homie, stop taking it all so seriously and just enjoy the game lol

I agree, exotics in the pool would be a little excessive. They do still need something more, even just a higher chance for general loot pool legends. But weapon and combat style mods, and definitely meterials like cores and matterweave etc. are all great ideas to help newer players get a foothold without breaking the game's economy.
