1. The closest thing we have are floating discs in the enclave area of WQ. This is more like a target practice area at most. You don't have the ability to differentiate mob class, incorporate shield elements or other mob statuses, incorporate modifiers, and other things that would help a player understand combat. From ViDocs, we can see they already have private, test zones that they can spawn in enemies of different types. We need something more comprehensive, like the Apex testing area you can use at anytime. 2. I would guess you didn't even read it. I tried to incorporate sci-fi elements with the story of the game. From the "The Man With No Name" lore book, we know the Drifter was revived by a ghost during the Dark Age before he made his way to the Last City and met the Iron Lords sometime later. During the Dark Age, he was part of a crew including Otto, Thalia, and Ayrin, and was involved in heists. I used that in describing the backstory. I didn't go into too much detail on the lore side as this is more about the horde mode and firing range. 3. A horde mode is something that a lot of players have been asking for since Destiny 1. Players are getting bored with the stagnant core playlists (Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible) and repetitive, seasonal content grind season after season. Bungie could unvault some of the vaulted content, but that would only buy so much time. This would introduce a new activity that can make use of existing game functions that exist in the production build that we play and maybe some of the developer tools they strip out for the production release. If you don't care for it, you don't have to participate.
