3 seasonal weapons to level 10 for repute?
I have 1 pattern unlocked. This is a ridiculous challenge in order to get repute. Fine with the challenge itself just not to get such an important currency
Update: appreciate the feedback positive and negative from everyone.
Almost everyone has missed the point I was trying to make. I don't have an issue with the challenge. I dont have an issue grinding weapon levels once I do unlock the patterns.
The reason for my post was that this particular challenge rewards the rare and necessary REPUTE. The week 1 challenge of unlock 3 patterns was just an xp/bright dust challenge.
You get 2 Repute per week to unlock the seasonal upgrades in the helm. Putting such an important resource behind such an rng heavy thing is crazy to me. ESPECIALLY since until this week 1 way of a guaranteed red bar a week was bugged. They also completely changed a perk to allow target focusing so if you hadn't unlocked that perk already it could have been even harder to do so.

You literally have a year to do it. Not everything is meant to be done quickly. Also week 10 there’s another challenge for 3 to level 20 lol

3 RepliesIf you’re lucky enough to have one of the heavy unlocked, craft that 3x and level it up. Heavies are by far the fastest weapon to level up Shuro Chi or Golgy CP. Did all 3 in under an hr

9 RepliesYou got until lightfall bubba. And you can complete the challenge with 1 pattern. Craft it 3 times and level it up to 10 and you’re good to go. Level 2 of them to 20 cause there’s another challenge coming that requires that.

You will just get your repute a bit later. You already should have access to higher tier upgrades so you can skip those that don't matter

Funny part? It's a testament to how fun/useful/rewarding/well designed the weapon crafting system is. Because, if the weapon system was fun/useful/rewarding/well designed people would have absolutely no problem with this challenge

The requirement to level three crafted seasonal weapons to Level 10 for repute is a step too far. Being forced to use these weapons for repute is just something I cannot be bothered with. This grind and dictating what you have to use, and when, fseems to be the crux of everything Bungie does. It's old. I have got the triumph to craft three seasonal weapons done but I just cannot be bothered with this grindy hoop jumping anymore. I have all three characters at 1580 and I am basically done for the season. I have zero urge to play anymore as it just seems every week brings more of these bone tedious requirements to grind the same content we have been grinding for weeks along with basically the same story mission as last week but in a different recycled lost sector. If you want a perfect example for dull, cheap, tedious gameplay that just annoys the player base then this season nails it. Whoever comes up with these requirements, that get more ridiculous by the week, needs someone to have a strong word and maybe suggest that a game is meant to be fun, not a tedious chore. Not even going to bother with the Eververse Event in two weeks. It'll be more of the same grind. I'm just weary of not being able to play what I want, when I want, for what I want, with what I want. I genuinely cannot put up with this seasonal grind any longer. -
Just put same up, I'm in same position and I've played a lot this season, very unfair, as its a requirement for the seal, to get All the unlocks... Poor from bungie

But when it holds up your progress by withholding Repute, it's complete BS. And where are the Bungle Community Managers on this? Are they out navel gazing?

Two levels can be done in an hour. But yeah, you gotta play a lot! I think Team Scorched will arrive in a few weeks. This is an option to consider if you feel pressed for time between now and then.

So you dont have to finish it this week to get the final dust reward for completing everything? Just do it before the season ends? (Same for GM nightfall?)

If you don’t have the weapons unlocked yet, you can just craft three of the same weapon - it doesn’t have to be different weapons. Levelling them to 10 is easy if you do the Altar of Sorrows event on the moon. With the constant waves of enemies it should only take maybe half an hour or so to get the challenge done.

I'm lucky enough to have two unlocked but it's both heavies... so naturally I can't kill 2 birds with 1 stone...
