Remove requirement for level 10 seasonal weapons. I can’t even craft 1!
This challenge for repute should be auto-completed. Garbage beyond trash seasonal economy bugged to death and hit up for WAY TOO MUCH GRIND! I shouldn’t have to do this for repute when drops have been bottle necked and broken for weeks!
When the seasonal economy is designed so bad that I already have raid weapons crafted at 1 guaranteed a week you know Bungie is 100% responsible. If bungo wants so much in grind from their players they should at least make it right by auto complete these challenges when they dropped the ball. I can’t make rng give me patterns but I at least showed up to play bungo is entirely at fault here for the bugs and all of these should be auto completed when it comes to crafting. 6 weeks of bugged drops should be enough wasted time for Bungie to take responsibility and auto complete these kind of challenges.

As it stands, there are three main points of pain with this challenge. Let's break it down: 1. It requires the player to have three seasonal weapon patterns unlocked. This is more a problem with acquiring weapon patterns in general rather than a problem with the challenge. For many, rng and luck create massive barriers that can not be passed, and for many this may be true for the duration of the season. I myself only have one pattern unlocked despite all the hours I've put in this season and I am no where close to acquiring any more. 2. It grants Repute for completion. If this was a normal seasonal challenge without Repute it wouldn't be so bad. Annoying, but not bad. Players could just opt to skip it, but because it grants a critical seasonal currency it represents a significant roadblock. I personally have always viewed these currency challenges as something to be completed the week it becomes available. Something like doing your chores for the week or doing some laps around the block, but as stated in my previous point it can take longer than the season to unlock these patterns. 3. It requires level 10 on each weapon. This isn't as big a problem as the others but it is still annoying enough to mention. It's true that there are methods of grinding weapon levels, but influencing players to grind instead of playing normally isn't good game design, in my opinion. Aaaaand to make it worse it requires this three times. Ouch. So what's the best solution to all this, if any? I have no idea. I would prefer it to be reworked instead of simply being auto-completed, but I'm not familiar with what Bungie can do from their end without a patch. Maybe at least drop it down to one weapon completion instead of three? It would still be annoying fighting with rng for those patterns, but it would at least be a fair compromise. Hopefully they acknowledge it or something.

1 ReplyIf you’re lucky enough to have one of the heavy unlocked, craft that 3x and level it up. Heavies are by far the fastest weapon to level up Shuro Chi or Golgy CP. Did all 3 in under an hr

Red border seasonal weapon? I’ve never seen one for myself, legend says they have a slight chance to only appear on a full moon if you do a summoning dance on the roof of your house

It's not that I can't craft the weapons (I already have three crafted) it's that they're so shitty I can't even use them in content that is any more challnging than patrol without handicapping myself. And I'm supposed to level THREE of them up to level ten? -blam!- that. I'm tired of this game becoming more and more pointlessly grindy, it's frustrating and a waste of my time. If you want me to play give me something fun to do, not pointless timesink tasks.

Just reminder, I run 4 expeditions and 3 assault on ketch on all three charters per week and that's it. Also don't forget to spend materials by focusing weapons in HELM.

2 RepliesHad my mind set on getting this season's Seal and was doing nicely until yesterday when I seen this requirement. Screw that mess. I've completed one seasonal weapon so far and they want 3 all up, and to level 10?? What a -blam!- joke! Scrap the level 10 requirement and maybe, maybe I'll get around to it, RNG providing, if not I think this might be the last straw for me. I'm so over the BS that continues with this game, it's very disheartening. I love Destiny. I hate Destiny.

Best part is I purchased my weekly Deepsight so I can get another weapon pattern for a seasonal gun from the Star Chart. The Deepsight vanished off the gun as I flew to the Derelict Leviathan. Bungie can't do anything right. Yea sure I'll get right on crafting the seasonal guns that I can't even seem to get Deepsights on for the deepsight just vanishes.

If bungie is really set on introducing these kinds of seasonal challenges, especially ones that reward you with a vendor upgrade, then you should only need 3 red borders to craft a weapon.

Getting red bars isn't as bad as leveling them up. Ammo doesn't drop well for energy and heavy making it take forever. When they took Shattered Throne away to level in they put the screws to those of us that weren't cheating. Punishing all of us is a bad Bungie.

1 ReplyAfter seeing this, I lost interest. I lost interest in the seasonal challenges and I lost interest in the weekly story missions being the exact same thing every week. I am losing interest in this season rapidly. I grinded like crazy to get ready for GM's and this whole debacle has put a sour taste in my mouth, I have little interest in playing today, reset day. I used to look forward to reset day and now the game just feels like a list of mindless chores.
