  • I think you may be on to something there, get rid of them, they have become pretty stupid after the first few weeks. ITs not a challenge its a laundry list of bs to complete as chores with shitty weapons that LOOK amazing.

  • No, I'm serious. I mean Bungie even caved and gave credit for the 50 champs thing a few weeks back due to the uproar. Do you realize how trivial it is to kill 50 champs in the course of weeks and weeks of gameplay? Even more so you got extra credit for Lost Sectors and Legend Ketchcrash. That's really all the evidence we need to show how casual this game and community is. I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing either. But at some point the word "challenge" has to mean something. These are supposed to be CHALLENGING to complete, and they are already SO easy.

  • There is nothing challenging about grinding easy stuff for hours. Like remember when Dares came out and you got a special emote for doing a legendary dares with only 4? That is a challenge. Master nightfalls are a challenge. The legendary campaign was a challenge, etc. "Grind X easy activity 100 times" or "kill 50 champions" or "get 500 sidearm kills" or whatever aren't "challenges". I think it would be cool if the challenges actually had some difficulty to them, in an escalating range from kind of easy to brutally hard. I'd probably tackle them even without loot rewards, just to try and see how far I could get. A while ago, I kind of quit caring about bounties and seasonal challenges. I just let them run passively in the background. I only "grind" if there is a really great weapon I want. And I'm very selective about what I'll grind for.

  • The “kill 50 champions” thing was not a seasonal challenge. It was part of that weeks “weekly” quest. Meaning, you know, to be done in a week. And if you didn’t finish it then you could not progress the rest of the season story line until you did.

  • Didn't I say that? You had until the entire season to finish that part if it seriously took that long. Which it wouldn't. For ANYONE who did even the most base-level PVE play in the game.

  • You said it was a seasonal challenge. Meaning you have all season. I’m saying it was part of the weekly quest. Meaning you were intended to do it in a week. And if you run three character you had to do it 3 times in 1 week to progress it. Most Champions only granted. 1% credit. To say it was easy to complete in 1 week is incorrect. The only efficient way to do it was to do a master ketchcrash. Which was the point i think but not everyone has a fireteam of 6 or likes to LFG.

  • Easy, totally. Fun, engaging, NO. Challenging, NO. time consuming, HELL YES! and that is where the issue comes, its significantly time consuming for a game bungie has been trying to keep casual which had so many top tier guardians leave D2 early on those first few seasons and the more they push to get back the D1 feel, the more they push those dedicated casual players away from the game. The game needs these casual players just as much as those top tier dedicated players who play hours and hours a day. I'm not talking skill, but, time investment here.

  • Seasonal things are casual inherently not everyone can level 3 weapons to level 10 and not everyone can do master ketchcrash. Seasonal things are casual and supposed to be casual

  • Yes everyone can. The seasons is over two months long. There's no way "everyone" can't do those things unless they simply aren't playing the game or are so scared to go outside their comfort zone they won't even try. Just....try. If you aren't willing to even try, how can you expect to deserve the rewards?

  • But the weapons are not my cup of tea. I find them subjectively very ugly. They could make the quest to allow ANY crafted weapon to level 20. Because taipan is nice looking and I also like one or two other crafted weapons, but the pirate weapons are weird looking. I don't want to craft them let alone level them.

  • I find them looking awesome, asthetically however, in game, aside form the sidearm, the rest just arn't as good as many other options I have so now I have to use these weapons that suck stat wise in game whe I have options I have grinded for previously that are superior.

  • Okay but what is anyone supposed to do with that? Aesthetics are completely subjective so there's no way to make weapons that someone won't think is "ugly". You can't just put that aside to get the thing done? Really? It's that important?
