This post is a rant post due to the future of seasonal challenges. Like the title above states, I’m done with trying to get the 4,000 BD each season due to these seasonal challenges. They can be a grind (and I was prepared to grind) but this is TOO MUCH GRIND. How you may ask? Let me list some future challenges that struck a chord with me. Week 8 (Next Week) 1. “Collect 160 Map Fragments and 1600 Treasure Coordinates throughout the Season.” Knowing Bungie and their absurd requirements, this may be easy for some of you due to you playing the game or farming the seasonal challenges. Heck, I even did the last one no problem. But for the people who don’t have the extra time to farm, this challenge is useless. 2. “Defeat 12 Champions and bosses in Ketchcrash.“ I REALLY hope that this one is retroactive because if they don’t, this means that you HAVE to do this 12 times (as if we weren’t already burned out) PLUS fight with your own teammates to even get a HIT on a Champion. Not doing this. Week 9 1. “In Expedition, gather 50 Treasure and defeat 10 Ruffians.” As many comments before me stated, the Ruffian spawns SUCK -blam!-. Since you can’t go in solo (unless you do the time glitch on PS4), you have to have teammates and those teammates will try to throw those balls in the trove as fast as they can. I understand since people are really sick of this boring activity and want to get this done and I also know that I can LFG, but this is a dumb challenge regardless. Week 10 1. “Open 15 Expedition bonus chests and chests from Master Ketchcrash AND spend 150 Plundered Umbral Energy at the Star Chart to focus Engrams throughout the Season.” As if you weren’t burned out yet from the similar Week 4 challenge, Bungie decided to give this to you AGAIN, this time forcing you to push the crummy slow cart 15 times OR do MASTER Ketchcrash. And that’s not all, since you also have to use the shitty Umbral Energy (which you only get 3-4 a run) with Umbral engrams (which for me are hard to get). 2. “Level two Seasonal Shaped weapons to level 20.” And here it is folks! The one challenge that inspired me to write this whole review! You thought that this week Shaper challenge was hard enough? Well TOO BAD since you have to do it AGAIN only this time with using TWO Seasonal weapons (from THIS season only) AND make them lvl 20! Wtf were they smoking? No one knows! Bungie, since I just KNOW that you will put these types of requirements in future seasons, there is literally no point in buying these (other than for the weapon and the story). I have TOTALLY lost faith in you. Actually scratch that, I lost total faith in you ever since last season with forcing us to do ONE -blam!- public event in order for us to have red borders. I’m done. Not with the game, but with grinding so much in this game. I mean what’s the point anymore? I have Conqueror x3 but for the first time due to life and college, I literally can’t do GMs due to me apparently not playing enough. Am a Dregen x6 but even I know that resetting my Gambit rank TWO times (and all the other ranks for that matter) in order to get a -blam!- ornament is stupid. This and last season were the only times that I didn’t even try to get their titles since the grind became too much. Started on “Warden” from Hunt to “Risen” from Risen and they didn’t have the obscene requirements like Haunted and Plunder do. End of Review. Do whatever you want Bungie. I don’t care anymore.
