For the love of god please add optional matchmaking for PvE events.
It makes no sense why you would have things like nightmare hunts have mandatory matchmaking for the two lowest light levels like adept and hero and not for the ones where a team would be more required if not mandatory like legend and master.
Then you have quests that almost exclusively need to be done solo in those events.
Gone through 3 nightmare hunts in the last 15 minutes to get melee kills on tough opponents and I’ve gotten one.
One kill.
Because I’m forced to either play at a light level too high just to play alone, or play an easier light where I have no option but to have a team.
It would be so easy to implement.
I’m not saying adding matchmaking to harder difficulties, but for the easier two that already have it, it should have a toggle.
Or at the very least stop having ridiculously specific quests that force you into playlists where people spend their time speedrunning it.
And before you blind people who can’t read the word O P T I O N A L come at me with dumb excuses like “git Gud” or “get friends” and “use an lfg!” It shouldn’t have to come to that. I shouldn’t have to force other players to be dragged along on my quest grind.
Imagine I ask you to sit in the back and not kill anyone so I can get the 500 kills for my catalyst or so I can get my bounties done.
Or being on a crucible team just to stay in a corner so one teammate can get his quest step done.
It’s ridiculous that a game that pushes a necessity for multiplayer then makes quests that make you not want multiplayer, and then force you to partake in the multiplayer anyway.
