I was wondering what dating app do you guys use.
Before I got married, I used both Confidence and Talking to Women but it's fairly obvious that neither of those exist any longer.

Edited by Cultmeister: 10/15/2022 2:36:00 PMTinder I’ve made some nice connections on there and had a few dates, but nothing that went anywhere. 90% of people don’t talk, and of the ones that do a lot of them are fake accounts who end up trying to get me to invest in cryptocurrency. Grindr Lol. The stereotype is definitely worse than reality, but not by a massive amount tbh. Although the devs are trying to change the atmosphere, it is still a sea of abdomens and unsolicited genital DMs. I would definitely not use it for traditional dating. I only really use dating apps as a kind of ego boost these days. I’m not a fan of dating in the modern sense, I would much rather meet someone naturally through work or the like. But knowing that others can/do find you attractive in a variety of ways is confidence-boosting.

Edited by Cobravert: 10/14/2022 7:01:12 PMThis is all from experience in an older age bracket, so not sure if it will translate equally for you. match.com, but it seems to be less and less populated over time, plus it's one of the more expensive ones if you sign up. facebook - the app has a dating section, no charge, but it's a minefield. Very little ability to sort in the search options. It's very rudimentary and doesn't show who you searched, and you can't easily find anyone you may want to possibly look into again. zoosk.com - I just found this one recently, and seems to have much more activity, cheaper to use than match if you sign up. The thing I've found is that most people tend to have be on all these at the same time, which tells me none of us are finding who we're looking for. It seems a necessary tool to try to find anyone anymore, but most people are either really guarding themselves, or post too much information. Which is good because you can see right away what to avoid (pro-political, anti-political, demands for their prospective date), and others who do not post enough, to the point where all you have is 1 picture, and scant info, as to not being enough to decide if they'd be worth contacting or not. As introverted as I am, and being comfortable with being alone as long as I have been, I don't know why I even try anymore, but I feel I should.

OkC and Tinder. Using more than two is just a hassle and too much micromanaging. Also, the quality of users on some of them is quite low (PoF and MeetMe have the absolute dregs of society).
