From a trans player's perspective, it would be nice if Bungie could include some manner of character editing even after their initial creation. Many players create characters that perhaps reflect themselves in real life, and if Bungie wants to live up to the commitment they've set for their trans players, they should include some form of character edit tokens in case players are not satisfied with their character's appearance. Whether it be due to mistakes in creation or, as I referenced above, their character no longer reflecting who they are in real life, I genuinely believe Bungie would not stand to lose anything from a character editing system.

Quite the straw-man argument to make it seem that unless Bungie allows post character creation character modification they don’t actually care about trans issues. Plenty of non-trans people want such a feature. You’re not being devalued as a person just because a video game doesn’t let you modify your character. Bioware is another progressively minded company, with Dragon Age Inquisition even having a trans character, but you couldn’t change the race or gender after you started the game. Some games just don’t let you modify your character after the game has started. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if your character’s appearance being set and permanent is a hard coded requirement that would make changing that a very costly, time consuming, and risky process to update. Which if true could be something an actual Destiny 3 could have rectified from its inception. Which would be another tally in the column of why we could all wish we’d just get a Destiny 3 already.
