Hi there, thank you for your report.
We are aware of players reporting an issue with X STUPID DESTINY PROBLEM and are investigating. Please continue to stay tuned in to our @BungieHelp twitter or patch notes for potential updates.
Notice how all of these are the same copy and paste bs without any actual useful info? Considering we just HAD a patch and you fixed NOTHING important, why should we hold our breath?
Without even bringing in class disparity, pvp is a nightmare with all of the lag switchers and vpn users.
Would love to play with local people who don't need to lag switch to actually win.
Sick of being shot through walls, being killed from melee due to lag even though im two melees in.
Im on gigabit speeds and am stuck with lagging people everywhere
The 'Skill Based' Matchmaking is laughable, only get put against lagging people, so then we die
Then 'Connection Based' brings you lag switching, lagging people like you've never seen, so then we die.
There is no choice here, its lag or lag. Idc if ya a titan, hunter or warlock main, we've definitely all died to some laggy bs and I wont speak for everyone but I'm damn sure we're all over it.
Edit: Awww someone downvoted but couldn't comment as to why, that's adorable :3
Do they just use support bots?
Of course, they do. All major businesses use bots when dealing with a large number of customer support requests. It's cheaper and easier. If you need support, post in the help forum. Bungie does not have a public email address. Destiny is not played on servers, it uses a peer-peer network which means the players are mostly responsible for the quality of the connections. There is nothing wrong with using a VPN. They are perfectly safe and completely legal. Bungie will never ban you for using one. See the link below to Bungie's network troubleshooting guide. You can have the world's fastest internet connection and still run into network difficulties.
