It could be anything that causes corruption of your game files, not just a bad hard disk; bad RAM, overclocked or overheating CPU, bad or corrupted motherboard drivers/fils, bad system files, failing PSU, virus...

ive checked everything so far aside from my ram, but its also only happened with destiny so far so thats why im so confused

Destiny 2 hasn't been properly optimized these last two years, therefore it can be [b]very[/b] taxing on the HW.

I would absolutely agree with Crisidelm. The game is demanding in it's current form. Playing on anything that is falling behind on the PC tech is bound to cause problems of some sort. PC gaming was always this way. I built and played on PC from 2000 to 2019 when I switched over to Xbox One X then to Playstation 5 March 2022. Gaming for nearly 20 years on PC there was always a handful of games that would never run correctly no matter what I did. That's the nature of it you are pretty much on your own for diagnosing and resolving problems.
