The game is reliant on new players who may or may not stick around, that's the goal. To new players the game is amazing, & all this reused assets trash is new to the new players. It's all about selling dlcs & merch, as long as people keep buying they'll do nothing. If you've been around for years it looks like they aren't even trying anymore, that's bcoz they aren't. Do a deep dive into what's happening & it's actually really bad now, almost everything is bugged in some form, almost zero actual new content,even the new PvP map they took a year to make is just a skin on top of Frontier from D1. Playlists see no love, campaigns take a few hours, economy & levelling system is -blam!- poor, UI is awful, so many useless things in the game like collections, so many different inventory things, all 'new' content is just a rehash of the previous season, even the ketch in ketcrash is a Mish mash of the ketch from D1 and bits from beyond light. Ai hasnt ever changed. They just seem very very limited, almost inept. I know it's budget, and most people on other games etc but the people on D2 constantly crow on twitter about how good everything is, when in reality it's kinda awful. Every aspect of the game could be so much better
