Currently, the exotic glaives introduced with the Witch Queen see very little use and perform somewhat poorly. I believe part of the issue is that their exotic perks consume all of your shield energy. I propose the following changes;
Exotic glaives should charge a special meter independent of the glaive’s shield energy, similar to how Manticore has a special bar for its exotic perk. This meter is filled by dealing damage, and when this meter is full a guardian can expend all of the energy to use the glaives exotic perk. The meter receives more energy from dealing damage with the glaive’s ranged attack and receives less energy from dealing damage with the melee attack. When the exotic perk is activated it consumes and requires no ammo. This change would make the exotic glaives easier and more fun to use.
Additionally, the solar warlock glaive should apply cure x1 and the arc hunter glaive should apply jolt.
One more thing, do these exotics have to be class specific? I feel that these exotics could be free for any class to use. If any class could use any of these exotics I don’t believe that it would break anything nor muddy class identity since the exotic perks would make certain classes gravitate towards the one intended for them anyways.
