Supposedly, your active characters, stuff and progress were on your Stadia account, and now that you unlinked it, they are gone. Cross-Save doesn't move/transfer anything...

  • I unlinked my stadia account a few days before the hot fix and was playing destiny 2 and farming the grand master night fall just fine. I didn't have any issues into after the maintenance fix went live.

Stadia shutdown only impacted people playing on Stadia, and those that didn't have their account linked through cross-save (active characters)

  • Hey viiTactiiCZz, after I unlinked my Stadia account I was still able to play Destiny as normal. It wasn't to after the hot fix did my gear and everything reflect that it's all over on Stadia now. I quit playing on Stadia months ago so this is an error. Right now, Bungie is reflecting I have no active guardians on Playstation. Even if all my guardians were on Stadia. A month and a half ago. I started over with my Hunter (didn't like the exo race) so I restarted with the other race purple/blueish. So I would atleast have one guardian on my playstation account given I officially restarted one guardian (the hunter) on my playstation account recently.

[/quote] That character was made on your Stadia cross-save'd account on the 8th of December - https://bray.tech/report/12020136812?characterId=2305843010216344082 there is the PCGR of the first mission. It was made after you deleted a character that had 800+ hours on it. Being on a playstation didn't change which platform account the characters were linked to - any changes were always saved to your Stadia account until now after you have deactivated cross-save/. You would've needed to deactivate cross-save and start from fresh on PS for it to be truly your playstation account.

  • Also, I restarted my Hunter two months ago on my playstation account and everything has been switched to Stadia. I haven't played Stadia for the last 5 to 6 months. This issue started after the hot fix.

  • You set up your Cross Save to play with your Stadia character data, not Playstation data. Therefor you were accessing and creating characters on the Playstation platform, but that data was being saved to the Stadia account. When you deactivated Cross Save, that data would go back to Stadia where it originates and your Playstation data returned to being active, whether you had existing characters or not on that account. Because Stadia is no longer in service and it is past the deadline to activate Cross Save to access your Stadia account data on another platform, it is lost and cannot be retrieved. To continue playing on Playstation, you will have to start over with new characters unfortunately.

  • I started the new Guardian on my Playstation account over my PS5. There shouldn't have been any correlatoin betweeen Stadia and Sony for at least the hunter. I deactivated Cross Save 4 days ago. For the new hunter I made was around December 8th. The class was hunter and race was the purple people lol not exo or human.

  • Also, I could potentially save my previous data but Bungie has a 90 day restriction on when you can reactivate your cross-save. Definition of a rock and a hard place.

  • Also, the link didnt work for me. I submitted the request but it's still doing that thing where after you submit a request a few minutes later it's automatically showing as "Solved" even though no action was taken on the ticket. I wish I could pay customer support to help me out, I'm not even being sarcastic. I'm just looking for help.

  • No, you cant get your Stadia stuff back now - that deadline is passed and its been removed from cross-save setup.

  • viiTactiiCzz well this is all horrible. Guess it was nice playing Destiny 2. Definitely can't start from scratch. 800 hours and 500 to 600 hundred dollars poured into this game.... yeesh. Thanks for chiming in, in either case. take care!
